This is just my own personal compilation of duas, they are not fard, they are not hadith (unless I have quoted something, like towards the end). This is just my own, please don’t confuse them for anything other than wanting to share something with you.
I took a print out of all the duas and the names of everyone I wanted to make dua for in my labour ward with me and my husband kept reading it out to me during labour. Read Surah Fatiha, durood or whatever comes to your mind at that time.
Read Surah Maryam (with translation) that’s the only Surah which is advised during labour time and pregnancy.
Please remember it really gives you a lot of peace when u keep praying at that time and it is the best time for duas to be heard.May Allah make your delivery easy and normal, may Allah bless you with naik, saaleh, healthy beautiful baby, who is protected from Shaitaan and is always guided on the straight path. Ameen.
For the rest of the time you can keep making what ever duas you want to for everyone and also can read:
- Nasruminallahey wa fathun kareeb,
- Allah humma Inaka Affuwun Kareemun Thuhibbul Afwaa Faa Fu Anni
- A’oodhu bikalimmatillaahit taammmaati min sharri maa khalaqa – I seek refuge in the perfect words of Allah from the evil of that which He has created.
- Hasbunallaahu wa ni’imal wakeel – Allah suffices us and He is the best guardian
- Inniy u’eedhuhaa bika wa dhurriyyatahaa minas shaytaanir rajeem – And I command her and her offspring to Thy protection, from the evil one, the rejected.
- Aayatul Kursi
- Surah Maryam
Also it is mentioned that Hazrat Fatima (radiyallahu anha) reports that when it was time for her to deliver her child, “Rasulullah (Sallallahu alayhi wasallam) sent Umme Salma (radiyallahu anha) and Hazrat Zainab (radiyallahu anha) to me with the instruction that they read Aayatul Kursi, surah Al-Falaq and An-naas and the following verse for easy delivery:
Inna rabbakumullaahul ladhiy khalaqas samaawaati wal ardha fiy sittati ayyaamin thumma-stawaa alal arsh, yughshiyl llaylan nahaara wa yatlubuhoo hatheethan was shamsa wal qamara wan nujooma musakh-kharaatim bi amrihi. Alaa lahul khalqu wal amru, tabaaraka llaahu rabbul aalameen. Ud’oo rabbakum tadharru’an wa khufyatan, innahoo laa yuhibbul mu’tadeen.” Surah Al-A’raf (7:54,55)
When the baby is born Insha’Allah, say the Athaan in his/her ears and then read this, this is the dua RasulAllah saw used to seek Allah’s protection for Al-Hasan and Al-Husain by saying:
O-eethukumaa bikalimaatil-laahit- taammati min kulli shaytaanin wa haammatin, wa min kulli ‘aynin laammatin
Meaning: I seek protection for you in the Perfect Words of Allah from every devil and every beast, and from every envious blameworthy eye.
Ameen.
