Founders

Nargis Jahan Uddin
Nargis Jahan Uddin founded Muslim Mamas in 2011 after a single photo of her sleeping baby instigated a valuable conversation on her Facebook wall that marked a key turning point in her motherhood journey and initiated the vision of Muslim Mamas. Recognising the value and necessity in facilitating the creation and growth of online community groups, Nargis invested herself in developing a safe space online for Muslim mothers to connect, grow, inspire, support and empower through shared experience, faith, knowledge and validation. Essentially a network at their fingertips.
As the community grew rapidly, Nargis carefully selected and increased her team over the years to 6 admins (Asma Ali MN, Aliyah H Khan, Jazmin Begum Kennedy, Fareena Alam and Nafisa Rahimi) to help manage the community effectively. With the support and dedication of this team, she created further spinoff groups segmented by interest around the Muslim Mamas life, retained a controlled and manageable growth focusing specifically on ‘quality over quantity’ and expanded into other social media platforms to create further opportunities to connect.
In 2018, Nargis incorporated Muslim Mamas Limited and added admin Nafisa Rahimi as Co-Founder. This marked the beginning of the corporate and business journey to escalate and sustain the social impact.
Muslim Mamas has been operating voluntarily for over a decade and has been a useful and meaningful space for quality information, interaction, connection, opportunity and sisterhood. Muslim Mamas has a strong community driven and charitable reputation and has had a phenomenal social impact, transforming the lives and conversations of Muslim Mothers globally.

Nafisa Rahimi
Nafisa Rahimi joined as Co-founder in 2018 after four years of being an Admin, and has been instrumental in creating, developing and implementing the corporate elements of Muslim Mamas. As the strategic leader, she is representing Muslim Mamas on the Facebook Community Accelerator Program 2021 where she successfully passed the gruelling, three-stage interview process single-handedly (amongst thousands of applicants worldwide), and is being mentored and trained by Founders Intelligence whilst already securing funding from Global Giving. She is currently working towards securing further funding in order to scale, build strategic partnerships and achieve long-term sustainability. Muslim Mamas is one of 10 groups from the UK accepted onto the program and one of 131 applicants worldwide across 9 regions. Nafisa represents less than 1% of the selected elite global leaders.
Nafisa is passionate about providing relevant services in order to amplify and empower Muslim mamas everywhere. Her podcast, educational, media and business platforms are now under the Muslim Mamas umbrella.
