As we begin this new year, let us take time to pray
May Allah bless us to be courageous in standing for and defending the truth, even if it challenges our own opinions and positions, Ameen.
May Allah bless us to avoid the temptation of Satan, which can call us to evil, hasty actions and decisions, destructive emotional outbursts, and sometimes ill-considered, overly passionate responses to the situations we may find ourselves challenged by, Ameen
May we be blessed with patience and perseverance in the face of the slander and defamation directed at us.
May we be blessed to be fitting representatives of the last Messenger (peace upon him) sent to guide humanity, by ourselves being guiding lights for all who cross our paths, Ameen.
May Allah bless us to live with patience, restraint and judiciousness in this world, and to never forget that we are living for the next world, Ameen
May we always be blessed to respond to evil with what is best -good, Ameen.
May we be blessed to follow the lofty advice given to us by our beloved Prophet, Muhammad (peace and blessings upon him) by joining relations with those whom break them with us, by forgiving those who oppress us and by giving to those who deny us, Ameen.
May we find guidance and comfort in the Qur’an and may we find hope in the remembrance of Allah and in prayer, Ameen.
May we be blessed to reverence our elders and be merciful to our children. May we be blessed to be proud to carry the name “Muslim,” and to believe that both as individuals and as a community we have something great to offer the world, Ameen.
May we be blessed by Allah to never, ever surrender the dignity Allah has conferred upon us by choosing us for this path and to never forget, dignity can never be taken from anyone, it can only be given away, Ameen.
May Allah bless us all and may He bless and heal our world. Ameen!
