It’s time to get back to work, but how will you keep on top of all the chores and caring for your baby or children? It pays to be organised, so here’s 10 hacks that’ll help you out. Set your alarm – At least 30 minutes before it’s time to get out of bed to build a buffer into your day. If all goes well you can just enjoy the extra time. Invest in a coffee maker that has a timer – Set it to make your morning coffee. Life changer! Each week, write out a list – Of all the tasks/activities and chores that need doing in the week. This sounds OTT, but trust us, it works. Meal Prep – stop trying your hardest to cook gourmet meals for the family every day. Each week plan what’s for dinner, it’ll make grocery shopping easier too. Online grocery shopping – It’s the only way to go for time-poor parents. Plan Ahead – Put up a family wall planner somewhere highly visible Use your slow cooker – This handy device will let you jus throw in the ingredients and have a lovely meal when you come back. Lay out everyone’s clothes the night before – That way you just have to get dressed and go. Wear a dressing gown – over your work clothes in the morning to protect yourself from sticky fingers and boogers. Ugh. Travel and work – If you have a commute to work then use the time to answer emails or catch up on a bit of admin away from the kids.
