The sun is shining so the ‘fruit satnis’ are out! Cut up oranges and clementines today for this treat!
This is the Bengali way to enjoy fruit – with roasted garlic, salt, green chilli and coriander. It’s super easy and super delicious!
Method:
1) Cut fruit into a bowl. I used 1 pomegranate, 4 oranges and 1 blood orange.
2) Add chopped coriander and chopped chilli and salt (to taste).
3) Roast garlic on the cooker hob (wrap it in foil so it doesn’t make a mess on the hob). Once garlic is roasted, chop or squish 4 cloves it into the fruit and mix all together.
My other favourite combos are mango and pineapple as well as apple and blackberry but you can use any fruit combo.
Give it a try and let me know what you think!
